Mission skates

Recommended Posts

I tried on a pair of s400's and loved the feel.....unfortunately the s500's were not available to try on in my size. I was leaning toward the s500's but now am not so sure.

Does anyone know the difference between these two skates (s400 v. s500)?

can I assume that all of the s series are cut the same?

any info would be greated appreciated..thanks

I'd like to know too. I see Hockeymonkey.com has some for sale in my EE width, but I've heard that the EE width is still a lil bit narrow. Im more of an E width in other skates not an EE

I have the s400 never tried the 500's but I've read that they are much stiffer boot then the 400's ... hope that helps some.

on a side note I really like the s400's. some wear and tear issues but still like them

S500 is more supportive and a slight bit lighter weight. I guess it all depends on your size. being a bigger guy (200 lbs +) if you are looking S series mission then I would say you need the extra skate offered in the s500. If your a light weight then the 400 my be adequate.

Composite + Glass (400) vs Full Composite (500). One reason for the lighter weight.

I had both at one point and honestly couldn't tell any difference. I never wore them long enought to really fully break them in, though (long story)
