kingjames23rulz 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2006 I have just made the choice to go from Bantam Minor AAA to High School as a Freshman.....have any of you done this or know anybody that has? because i want to be able to "hang" with the older kids without feeling i do not fit in.,.....does any1 have help? mnitishin 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 i just went through your situation this year. just be yourself. dont go out and try and be the cool guy or the funny guy. and if they have a job for you (ex. filling up water bottles or picking up pucks.) do it and dont complain. and just have fun and genuinly dont care about what they think. I know you play for Compuware, but that leaves me wondering too what school are you going to play for? I am not aware of any HS that even comes close to your current program. St. Mary's? Cranbrook? All Torhs Team 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Well, you can obviously skate pretty well - so I dont think youll have to worry about having to take much crap. Maybe if you were a unskilled freshmen, then maybe youd have some worrying to do.As for fitting in, just be a likeable person, you dont have to learn how to do that online.
