arch/pitch question

I've been using a heel lift on the inside of my bauer 8090's for the past few weeks to reduce the arch pain, and it's worked pretty well, however, it does change the feel of the skate. I know the bauers have a high arch and I was wondering if I were to get the blades profiled with a forward pitch would that have the same effect as the heel lift? Would I be able to eliminate the arch pain without using the heel lift?
