Vector 6.0 protective gear

Recommended Posts

Anyone here use any of the Vector 6.0 shoulder/elbows/shins pads? I'm thinking about buying them and I want to know about performance and durability. I'm looking for best bang for my buck here. Thanks

Here's what i have noticed about them.

Elbows are sick. Super light and really flexible. They lace tightening thing is a pretty good idea imo also. Probably our best selling elbow pad as of now.

Shoulders are also really light but i'd try them on before you get them. They design as you can see in the pics is really different from a traditional pad. Protection is decent in the back and pretty good in the front.

Shins there's nothing really special about them. I noticed they are really wide so if you have small shins/calves i wouldn't recomend them. They have pretty good protection around there though. It's a full wrap around strap. The top theigh pad that comes up is pretty huge also.

I don't know about the elbows or shoulder pads but my son just got the Vector 10 shin guards. If you can get the 10's they are a really good shin pad. We picked the 10's mostly because of the calf protection. They seem to be a little wider than his previous pads but the protection is awesome. He took a boomer of a slap shot off of them and said he didn't feel anything.

I was considering getting the 10.0s but realistically I don't think I'll need that kind of protection. At best I'll be playing division III club(college) hockey
