Drop-in in TO

Hey guys, I'm going up to Toronto soon for vacation and was wondering if anyone knew of any drop-in in the city during the week. I'm not looking for some super-competitive deal but a bit of a more laid back session. If you have any specific things I have to look out for (seeing as pick-up here is VERY low- key), I'd appreciate that too.

Icelands in Mississauga, right across from the Hersey Centre. Pretty low-key, you get the odd good player out, but mostly its regular pick up. There is rarely two goalies, but I personally don't mind shooting for posts.

Weekdays from 12:00-~2:30 or later. $7.50.

There is also some at Chesswood Arena in Toronto if you want to look them up to give them a call to find details, I believe it starts at 10:00am but I'm not sure on that.

If you feel like coming out to Oakville (about 25-30 minutes west of Toronto) there is good pick-up on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12:15 - 2:15 AM at Ice Sports. It's only $5. It is usually very good and with Two goalies (or more) alot of the time. Sometimes we get some OHL guys out also.

Thanks for the help, guys. I'll definitely look into the Chesswoods Arena one as it is right in the city. Any other recomendations would be appreciated, too.

Beyond what has already been mentioned...

Not sure what summer drop in they have, but if you're looking for something right in the city (albeit not a particularly nice part of the city) try Moss Park Arena. Google it, and email them, they're a friendly bunch - they'll let you know what's available.

Canlan Ice Sports has numerous arenas around the city beyond the Oakville Ice Sports already mentioned. I'm not sure when each arena has drop-ins scheduled; if someone else doesn't post times, I'd email/ask the arena most convenient to where you're staying.

Westwood Arena is also open in the summer; possibly Ted Reeve Arena too.

Sorry I can't be of more specific help...but I think you've now got (at least) a fairly comprehensive list of the arenas open through the summer.

Ya Chesswoods from 10-2 - think it costs 7.50$ -- relaxed usually about 3-6 people there. Iceplex at Highway 7 and Jane -- is from 10-3 -- 7.00$ usually no ones there -- its like having the ice to yourself -- most people i have seen there on the ice was 3 -- but usually empty - its great.
