Bauer Pro Return (5000) Pants

I've seen some Bauer pro return pants (similar in design to the Bauer 5000 pants) pop up on Ebay every so often, and I'm also aware that East West carries some too. Has anyone tried these? Are they super-heavy, average, or amazingly light pants? Do they offer good protection? Any info would be much appreciated - thanks!
