Recommended Posts

Vineault is still the front runner althought other names such as Lewis, Habschied and Peterson have been mentioned lately aswell as quite a few others. Theres about 10-12 that have been mentioned.

Alain Vigneault would be a good choice. But the Canucks have to do something about the clicks in the dressing room.. if what is said about the Bertuzzi/Naslund against the rest of the Canucks click is true. That team has some talent but something's just not clicking right. Are Bertuzzi and Naslund feeling threatened by the Sedin brothers who are starting to shine and show the hockey world why the Canucks did all they could do to draft them both? They may also be looking for a goalie.. I don't think Cloutier is a real number 1 goalie and am not sure if Auld is ready or any better for that matter.

Vigneault is a very good coach. I think he'll be their choice. As for the Bertuzzi/Naslund click, I think they'll try to trade one of them, to clear some money in order o sign a top defenseman. Maybe Redden.

Vancouver will be on the market for a goalie, that's for sure. They'll make offers to guys like Biron and Raycroft, but so will 20 or something teams. We'll have to wait and say.

Lots of action coming up^this summer.

I believe they'll stick with Auld, as he's got future no.1 stuck all over him since he was drafted. He did alright last season, had his moments, and its just hard to see them bring in another goalie which might just destroy Auld's confidence. Raycroft was a bust last season, I have a feeling he's the next Jim Carrey, I think if anybody were to sign him, it'd be a backup position. If anything, the Canucks need a more defined no. 1 centre. Morrison's really not cutting it, as much as I like him.

Vigneault sounds good as the coach though, and I can also see him behind the Canucks bench

There are many rumors sending Raycroft pretty much everywhere teams need a number 1 goalie. It's hard to say if he's the next Jim Carey. It's been a strange year in Beantown with 3 or 4 goalies playing there throughout the season. He definitly needs to rebuild his confidence though.

Believe it or not I've actually heard Hitchcock may find his way to Vancouver. He's apperantly not happy in Philly, and Clarke may let him walk infavour of Quinn.

I actually remember John Garrett mentioning that rumour right after Crow was fired.

My money was and still is on Vinegault

Something strange is in the air if they haven't hired someone by now. The only reason they are waiting is something like the Hitch move or there is a guy still coaching in the playoffs that they want to interview.

Don't forget the Canucks entire organization are complete pussies when it comes to doing anything other then the safe, obvious choice and Nonis represents that fully. The Canucks entire organization never makes a splash and their first choice is usually to do absolutly nothing and then see what happens from there. They have failed to make a change in the dressing room for years and there last "core" they moved was Jan Halavac, yes Jan Halavac not exactly a core player

They said in the middle of the last week they were supposed to name a coach on Monday or Tuesday and that still hasn't happened
