If we trade Souray I'd say the d ends up with about 20 goals between the rest, the d is so weak offensivly he's defensive breakdowns are worth having him just for his bullet shot and power play offence

It might be a little hard getting him I could see about a dozen teams making offers to him I say he ends up in Ottawa and Chara goes.

I didn't dislike Brisbois either I thought he had a pretty good season his last season in Montreal but the fans needed a scapegoat and his mistakes usually always came back to haunt the Habs

Whatever you do Bob, don't move Higgins. The guy can do it all. PP, PK, strong on both ends of the ice, works his ass off and has many years to play. I'd love it if the Habs could pick up Vinny, but not if Higgins is in the deal. If it was Aebischer and Higgins for Lecavalier, I'd probably do it, but not Aebischer, Higgins, Ryder, Plekanec and every other young player on the team for just Lecavalier. Call me crazy, but I could see Higgins being a big time player in this league. The type of player that is key to winning championships. A Claude Lemieux type.

With Bob Gainey as GM and Guy Carboneau as Coach..I doubt very highly that they will move Higgie (or Pleky for that matter).

As much as I hate to say it...I'd rather see Ryder go. Higgins is much more responsible Defensively. He can play on the 1st line or the 3rd/4th if need be. Like you say...PK/PP 4-4 he pays in all situtions and knows what to do.

Realistically, Aebischer, a scorer (Ribeiro, Ryder or Zednik) and a Draft pick is more than enough. Maybe someone like Ferland or Cote from the farm as well. I'd hate to see Cote go becasue I think he is ready for a breakout year (like how lost Beachemin a year too soon)...but depending on what D-men are available to Help MTL right away, maybe he is an expendable prospect to package for a proven scorer

i agree with you 100%. ryder is the worst 30 goal scorer in the league

Don't get me wrong...I likeRyder, but he is kinda one dimensional. If they can...I'd like to see him and Higgins stay...but if one has to go, KEEP HIGGIE!
