Cool little program avalible for the Windowz and Mac Platforms. It is called meetro. It is basically an instant messaging program on steroids. People show up on your list grouped according to how close they are to you. You get people with in 1/4 mile, 1 and 5 miles. You also get "other locals" which is about 30 miles and closer. You also get random people you can talk to. On your buddylist you see a picture of the person and their name. You can click on their picture and strike up a chat. You also get a nice little profile you can fill out. It is an interesting program and is getting bigger each day.

i prefer just meeting people the normal way, throug physical interaction. however, it is cool that they made a program able to do that.
