Sedins Sign

Recommended Posts

I love seeing the Sedins onboard for a couple more years, but this leaves the canucks with hardly any cap room they've spent over 30million on 9 players (this is all excluding Cloutier, he will most likely get dealt). Plus we have a couple holes on the top line and a top 3 D-man(Jovo) probably not coming back. This makes me wonder what Nonis has up his sleeve....

i just hope they sign carter again, he's the only one who's put up consistent numbers with the sedins. nonis could be trying to bring up jason king again, as he had some success with the twins in the past

me too, i like carter, but like you said, there doesn't seem to be enough cap space left, and carter's most likely going to get a raise based on last season....maybe he'll take one for the team and not get a raise :)

Vancouver has been making great moves so far. Gettinf Carter back would be nice too.

They have to find a premium quality d-man, or sign 2 very reliable d-men.

Guess who's the happiest coach in the league right now? Man, Vigneault has arguably the best netminder in the league, he just got rid of a BIG, BIG, problem in Bertuzzi and has good rookies such as Luc Bourdon coming up next season.

Do you think the Sedins will ever make differnet salaries, or will they always be signed for the same amount...

Also, do you see VanCity ever letting one of them go...or are they a package deal?

They play well alone but there is obvious very very very good chemistry between the two of them together, I say, more or less, they're a package deal -- like the Sutter twins were back in the day (although they didn't show nearly the potential as the Sedin twins) -- as far as salary goes, if one performs better, I don't see why their salaries couldn't shift.

It´s a good start over for then Nucks but I still think they need some D to support Luongo. If the Sedins can even take a step further and they sign another good forward to play with Naslund and Morrison they are pretty good up front but their Defense has to be rebuilt.

There cap room is tight, but there not gonna obtain all there players off of free agency, Nonis did say the Canucks were not near done wheeling and dealing this season and he also said we should expect to see atleast 1 or 2 more trades being made b4 the end of this summer. It should be a good team, gonna be exciting to see the 'new and improved' canucks of next season.
