Fit of Older Style Mission skates

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know the diffrence or know what the fitting is like of the older Mission ice skates, in particuler the Amp Fly and the High Fly? Is the fit compariable to any Mission boot ice or inline thats out there now? For anyone who has had a pair of these are they good skates, durable, light weight, etc...?....Thanks

I have a pair of Pure Fly's which is the lower cut version of the High Fly. I got the same as my shoe size and it's perfect length wise but IMO they tend to run narrow, tho my forefoot is very wide.

Great thanks....It looks like the high flys are the same type boot as the inline D-limited boot, except the D-limited looks like its cut a little shorter....How is the weight of the Amp fly boot anyone know?

My ice hockey skates are 2001 Mission Flyweights (the Amp M series I think), which have been a wonderful pair of skates. Very stiff and insanely light, especially after I switched to T'Blades. The fit is very similar to my Mission Helium He550's that I used for inline. The Flyweight's feel a litlle more snug or fitted and are definitely more narrow than the He550s. From what I have heard the new Fuel series is similar in weight and fit to the old Amp series, but I have not had a chance to try on a pair for myself. Hope this helps! :D
