Mission Skates in Maritime Canada?

Recommended Posts

I don't like these posts, but I'm desperate. My son needs a new pair of skates for next weekend and wants the Mission Fuels. I've only found Maritime Sports in Moncton, but they don't have any his size. Does anyone know who else carries them between Halifax and Saint John?

I went on the Mission site and looked at different dealers, and the main dealer for us here in the Maritimes seems to be Sportcheck. I don't know if they have the Fuels but i think they're your best bet.

Edit: Also ebay may be a solution if you can get them from Canada. Shipping isn't very long.

The Mission dealer list is waaay out of date. I tried several on the list so far.

I haven't found a SportChek yet that carries the Fuels¿ Odd that a chained sports store doesn't carry top models.

Just called instantreplaysports in Mississauga. Apparently nobody in Canada has gotten their shipments yet. Bummer :(

Ok, other than that, i'm not sure what you could do. I know all the Source For Sports don't deal with Mission, so i'm not sure of any other places.

Yea i now see how out of date it is, they have Sports Traders listed there, and thats been closed for a few years now.

Edit: What size is he?

He's a size 12 shoe (14yr old). His Mission Pure Lights, size 12D are too tight. A 10.5 One90 fit perfectly.

I did find some at http://thehockeyshop.com/ but I don't really want to buy without sizing first. Their RBK 9pumps are actually cheeper than the Missions retailed here. I'm going to gt him to try some other skates; sorry Mission, I think it's not going to happen :(

I don't think Mission wants more business. For the past 4 years I've tried to get them to respond to my requests, but I think they think they have enough retailers selling their stuff. Their marketing guys need to be fired.

We went with the hockey shop and did a best guess on size. I'm saving $120 Canadian compared to local retailers, if they get them. If I have to return them for a different size or brand, I'm still saving $75. The guys on the phone were great. It's really awesome to get great service on the other coast.

I just bought a 3.5 mission fuel 75 from www.hockeyskates.ca - took about 4 days for delivery, they are a canadian website. They didn't have them on their site yet, but I had emailed them what I was looking for and they had them.

Maybe chek out with Cleve's Source For Sports, they have stores in Moncton on the Trinity Drive and they also have a store in Fredericton.

I don't think they deal with Mission. All the ones here don't have a piece of Mission equipement.

The Mission Man (from Mission) finally got back to me with the real list. Here it is for anyone out here looking. I'm assuming these are the ones carryng Fuels. Sportchek carries lower models. I'd have supported one if I had known :(
