What is the best curve for stickhandling, wrist shots, and slap shots? I am a jr and really like roofing the puck top shelf/

Jeez, I just wanted to know which is the most open. I just started being able to post 10 minutes ago.

Simple at your age, except if you are a future NHL player, there's no way at 11 years old you are a perfect player, so you should be more worried about your skating and shooting than doing ovechkin's move!

So when i was peewee i used to play with a pretty flat blade, MESSIER back in 2000-2001 it was more closed and almost no openess at the middle of the blade a la iginla.

Now i play with IGINLA, St-louis and messier are pretty identical blade.

I know I shouldn't be worrying about all that. My friends just say all this stuff about curves and it makes me more and more confused. What's the most open toe, heel, and mid curve around?

imho, i think it depends on who the person is using the stick. i can shoot basically any curve top shelf, due to changing sticks so often. it is mostly pp in wich they shoot better with.

i am a sakic user

... I can shoot higher with a yzerman jr (no loft) than I can with a sackic. It really depends on how the individual shoots.

At your age you should focus on technique and working with your curve rather than having it do the work for you. Use what you have, or what you think you'll like. It's largely trial and error to find the right curve, since it's all personal prefrence. Work with what you currently have. Practice shooting and stickhandling daily. You'll notice much better results by the end of summer and for the rest of your career practicing and working hard than getting equipment to fill in holes in your own game.

I think you should find a curve that focuses on your accuracy rather than the type of shots. Find a curve that you can pass and shoot a basic wrister with first with accuracy then once you master the basics, then move on to snappers, slappers and toe drags.

IMO opinion which ever you feel comfortable with, each of those pros somehow managed to be NHL grade with their stickhandling with those curves so why can't anybody else?

As most everything has been covered for you, I'll make one tip about using this site. Not to be rude (Not my intention by any means) but try to refrain from making so many threads. Just do a quick search before hand, and if you don't find anything suitable, then feel free to post one. Other than that, have at it.

there the samething so it could be the flex that makes you shoot higher
