My itunes out of no where will not burn cds anymore it keeps coming up saying "An unknown error(4280)" occured. Can anyone pleae help figure out how to fix this issue?

Re-install iTunes, re-install your drive's drivers, or both.

If not, try a good program for burning stuff, iTunes is about on par with WMP, which is just about as good as the one built into WinXP. Ouch.

Could be a bunch of things, reinstalling iTunes has not worked for msot people. Try rolling back your drivers on your drive.

Well, it doesn't suck, per se, but compared to others it lacks. However, I use it simply due to the superior organization that it boasts over Winamp. I think one of the best ones is called fubar.

The designed it to work like absolute crap on the windows platform. Just look around to see how many installation and running errors there are. Not to mention, Apple did jack shit to help the majority of users with the problems.

I use it simply due to the superior organization that it boasts over Winamp.

Only problem with winamp is that it does not sync album art. It is a media player, whereas Itunes in a Media Library with the player/store built in. Two different things.

With that said, WMP11 > All

Yes, im really liking WMP11 as of now. Mainly because of how easy and flawlessly it syncs up my devices. Its not up to full potential, but its definately a great upgrade over the old ones. And i like it more than Winamp Pro. Quintessential Player isnt bad either, but the skins are horrid. WMP11s stock skin/layout is great.

Maybe i had problems with Itunes thanks to Microsofts wonderful Media Center edition. I know it has affected more than a few things i use on this computer.

I have always found that windows software, especially their media sotware is very big and clunky. Not to mention coded poorly

Well, it's made by Microsoft... Case and point.

Winamp lacks: Ability to sort music by genre then artist, then album in that order like I do all the time in iTunes, or did last I checked. iTunes, it's a few clicks and I'm good.

Not to mention that iTunes recognized cyrillic (yes, Russian) which helps with genre organization.

I tried differant burning software and it doesn't work eiether, so I'm thinking it isn't an Itunes problem, my drive is just old and burnt. So I guess I'll buy a new drive this weekand.
