so im 100% positive im gonna buy a girdle sunday and ive narrowed it down to 2

the synergy 700 & the bauer MBP8 vapor

can you guys just tell me the pro's and con's of each

The MPB8 has full velcro adjustment in the the thighs and crotch, making it easy to adjust and is helpful if you want to put it on after tying your skates. I love the mobility and weight of the MPB8, though protection could be better. After 5 years I don't want to give mine up. Can't comment on the 700.

Check out the Tackla if you get a chance. I've seen the bauer, but haven't tried it so I can't provide an opinion. The tackla is great and I'm picky with equipment especially pants. Mobiliy, weight and comfort won for the tackla.

I agree with him, I have the MPB8 girdle and I absolutley love it. You can adjust it in many different ways, its light weight and very comfortable and provides good protection.

It's also a lot more protective.

I tried the Tackla girdle and couldn't adjust to it, although it is a more similar style to the 700. I didn't like the extra pad above the hip, although newer MBP8's have that, and the lacing system.

neither one is very protective. Light and protective don't go together for themost part.

The Easton is a virtual copy of the bauer and neither one of them is protective.
