while we're talking about this...

anyone know why the easton wooden stick (the orange one that replaced the shanahan. the ultra or some crap). has a really wacky foresberg curve, while his replacement blade curves are mellow

My shop just got a shipment of some Z-Carbons and the Forsbergs are so open they look like Drurys. Wood blades just aren't as consistant as composites.

The Orange Woodie is the Ultra ABS I believe, and yeah, that sucker is a wicked big curve. Looks like a mid, even. quite ugly if you ask me, and I love the "normal" Forsberg. You'd think they could mold the ABS more consistently, somewhat like the composites. The Z Carbons probably have a different mold than the OPS. (Kosy, are they blades or the woodie w/ comp. blade?)

funny, I have a hybrid synthesis blade that's closed. I would have thought they'd use the same mold for those two since the construction is so similar.

I have an ultra ABS just for screwing around on my drive way and I love that Forsberg curve. Good thing I caught myslef before buying a Forsberg synergy online!

The curve on the Ultra ABS is a really open mid curve. Sweet for snap shots

I do believe that the Orange ABS stick is actually a Yzerman curve labelled as a forsberg.

Your right, its the yzerman/gaborik pattern. I had one for street hockey.

but it's a round toe, & very closed. isn't the yzerman square & pretty open?

i also have one of the old ultra abs's with a shanahan pattern...except its a round toe & slightly open. yet my comp blade's with shanny are square & open.

as well as a messier blade with barely any curve at all, when i've also seen it labeled as being a deep curve.

oh how these things drive me crazy.

i'm using a sakic right now. not sure i like it though.
