RBK 6K Tapered Shaft

Recommended Posts

hi

I bought a RBK 5K snake grip OPS from hockeyoffice.com

and they sent me out a RBK 6K Tapered Shaft , i have no problem with that but my question is does the shaft fit normal blades or do i need to get a tapered blade?

please go easy on me as i'm normally a goalie :P

Thanks

I would have a problem with that. You spent more money than you had to.

If you really want to keep the shaft, you will need to get a tapered blade.

just flip it over.the main difference is that you are getting a grip shaft over a ''snake grip'' feel! Also you will flip over your shaft to use it standard it might be too long so you will cut the other end and won't be able to a tapered blade after or a plug if you change blade that the hosel is shorter/longer... but since your a goalie i think it should be fine..

6k is suppose to be better than the 5k but IMO i prefer the 5k, i think it is lighter, didn't like at all the balance of the 6k!

I never thought it would be this difficult

do you think i should contact hockeyoffice.com and ask if they can do me a deal on a RBK 6K tapered blade?

seeing that they screwed my order up?

I dont really want to spend more money shipping the stick back over to germany

Thanks

I meant that as in the 6k is cheaper than the 5K OPS, so he lost some of his money in the transaction.

Webster, I would call them and see what they can do for you.

I'd call them up. You need a complete stick, not just a shaft. you paid for a complete stick, not just a shaft. If they didn't have the 5k OPS, they should have notified you. Tell them that you will not pay for shipping the 6k back as it is their mistake. they may just ship you out a 6k blade or possibly an old synthesis blade if they still have them, since it may be more cost-effective for them, depending on the shipping cost of the shaft and whether they have the 5k in stock or not. Also make sure that you get the curve you want. buying a OPS is a big investment, especially since you're a goalie, and tapered blades aren't cheap either.
