Alright so now I have another variable to add in here GREAT!!!!! Goalie Heaven has Tackla 951 advantage pants in the columbus color that will fit but they are just as expensive as the bauer pro return at eastwesthockey.com Will I get the same amount of hip protection in both pants?

Sorry to revive an old topic.

I just blocked a shot (and am in dire pain at the hip flexor area) in my Koho 4460 pants.

Anyone (jason maybe?) have experience with the Sherwood pro returns? I don't think I should be blocking shots, but I would love a little more protection.

Comparisons with the Bauer or Easton pro returns welcome too.

I have the SW PMPX 10 pants (from East-West) and really like them. To me, they are better than the Bauer 5000 pro returns I had. More protective, a better fit, and if they're not lighter (I haven't weighed them) they at least feel less cumbersome.

I agree. After skating some more in the 5000s I dropped one on my tailbone and couldn't walk right for a week. I'm in a Synergy girdle now. It's o.k. except each time I put them on I pop some threads by pulling them up. Not sure what to do about that.
