RBK 9K skates

I tried the RBK 9K skate for an ice time and really liked it. But that was about 25 minutes on the ice. Does anyone who owns them have any other feedback regarding durability, break in time, responsiveness .. etc, ?

I wrote a quick review, with the 9K included. It is a really nice boot. I like it a lot, but it is too wide for me. It feels and looks like a durable boot. It is my understanding that the bladder inside the skate is replaceable. We will wait to see if that is true.

You picked a very good skate....just not the skate for me.

I came from xxx's and imo the 9k's werent as responsive. The transition from vapors to the rbk's was pretty tough. They were fairly comfortable for me, there were no problems with the break in period ( I didnt bake them), and they were somewhat light. Lightness wasent an issue though. Durability was bad for me, both of the outsoles became seperated from the boot. It might of been just an isolated issue on mine though.

I've had my 9k's for 4-5 months now. No problems what so ever. Comfortable, light weight and pretty protective. They are alot more responsive than my older 652's. IMHO it is a skate that you need to skate aggressive in.

I am very happy with mine.
