Crosby a Captain?

What do you think, is Crosby Captain material. The Pens are trying to decide who will be wearing the C. Crosby said he won't turn it down if given to him but that he won't campain for it. Other choices are Recchi or LeClaire.

Personally I don't think Crosby is captain material yet. He doesn't have the experience, enough maturity or the respect needed. Right now he is seen as Sid the Kid by most people and his whining and crying about bad calls (or lack of calls) made him look like a brat and put him on the diving watch list.

I personnaly don't think he's earned it yet, he may have the points but I doubt he has the respect of his team mates, Recchi would be my choice but I'm sure the pens management wouldn't want sombody as captain that Crosby may still have a "tiff" with.

IMO, I think he's the only logical choice. I don't think the pens want to give either Leclair or Recchi the C for a few reasons. First of all, none of them is being identified as the face of the franchise, and none of them has been a member of the pens for the majority of their respective careers.

Personally, I think Crosby is ready to be captain. He has learned a lot from his first year in the league, and I don't think we'll see as much whining and complaining as we saw last year. The penguins are HIS team, to Leclair's and not Recchi's. Also, I don't think Leclair and Recchi have been know to be great leaders.
