new sher-wood sticks

Recommended Posts

I just got an RM9 last night and got to play with it today. Great Buy! I was gonna get a Synergy St but I picked this one up and wow. Receiving passes with this thing was dang near a Mission Pulse (which I have also.) I think I'll be sticking with Sherwood's for a while.

Now exuse me I'm gonna go buy another one.

Out of curiousity, what model of Sher-Wood is S. Crosby using?

he uses a Momentum XD shaft, with a 1050 blade....

I agree totally, and for $120, you can't go wrong!!

Crosby uses the Momentum XComp as mentioned, not the XD. I dont think its a retail shaft.

it's a Momentum XD.... they have a standard and tapered. I own the standard version.

Sherwood Momentum XD Taper Fit

Sherwood Momentum XD standard shaft

Ive handled an Pro Return Xcomp OPS and an XD shaft and they were different in terms of shaft shape and construction from what I could see. It also clearly says Xcomp on Crosby's Stick.

What exactly does the "Rm9" or "RM19" mean? Its Rhythm 9 right? What does that mean? Is it some technology?

Its just a name. Rhythm + Model Number . Just Like Easton names its sticks Synergy and NikeBauer names their sticks Vapor.

rm 19 is their top o' the heap in terms of sticks. from reading in the thread, i gather the 19 is close to an SL in terms of performance, while a 9 is close to the ST. I haven't actually seen either.

Is there any difference between the rm9 and rm 19 besides the fact the Rm19 is SOP?

huge difference in weight, and the RM19 is better balanced. You're also looking at $100 more.

must have read my post before I corrected it, I agree- different shaft... I thought he was talking about a retail version.

my lhs had the RM9, and RM19 but they just got the new RM7, and RM5's in.... the RM7 is a lot lighter than last years RM7. Really good feeling stick, great balance.. $99.99. The RM5 was just as nice.... easily the nicest price-point ops in the shop.. $69.99.

If I hadn't already bought an RM9, I would have gotten an RM7, and an RM5 instead.
