theres a few things to think of for wheels.what surface are you playing on ?how much do you weigh?how much do you want to spend.skate wise ,thats alittle tougher, are you looking for an inline skate or custum skate(ice boot /after market chassis)you might want to check out some of the past skate topics on the mod,or go to a LHS and try on some skates see what feels good, check your size maybe find a good deal at a online hockey site.what i did was get 2 pairs of the same ice skates and make one an inline skate .but the same factor always come full circle-ice is ice and a roller surface isnt ice.

IMHO rink rats new micro wheels give the best ice like performance if combined with the right chassis. IMHO the 2006 line of skates with the stiffness they posses come close to the ice like boot and ice like performance. Or, try out the new sprung suspension with your favorite ice boot. IMHO the sprung suspension is a fad much like the Vibe chassis, but if you look through the entire post people claim the suspension feels like an ice stride.

I'll second the rink rats (MB816 is the model). What kills you with weight on an inline skate is the chassis and wheels, and the RRs with mini bearings and oversized hub are about as light as it's going to get.

If you want really light in a skate, you're going to have to go top end. You can save a bit by going after older models. Mission HE950 and Quattro 10000 are both very light and have a magnesium chassis. the 950s have had duravility issues, however. Tour's Code 1 Skate is also very light, and has the benefit of the Hum'er chassis with all 80mm wheels. If all you're looking for from the skate isthat it's the same fit and feel of your ice skate, then you'll probably need to do a conversion.
