Issues with grip texture on 2006 easton shafts

Recommended Posts

I've had a 2006 z-bubble grip and a 2006 ultra lite grip shaft now and on both shafts the grip texture is peeling off like it's barely attached to the shaft. With the z-bubble, the coloring also peeled leaving a silver finish to the shaft. Any one else having problems with the grip finish on the new easton shafts/sticks?

If anyone from easton visits here, go back to the old method of texturing shafts.

Over the years, they have been very hit or miss with grip durability and shaft/blade durability in general. Some years, the sticks are tanks in every way, other years they almost start cracking if you look at them funny.

i have a synthesis grip wich has the old grip coating and i think it is much more durable then the newer grip styles

I agree. I have a si-core grip that hasn't peeled in the slightest, but my new easton shafts are almost fiinished.

I have Mission M2 gloves, the same ones I've been using with my si-core. I think the older grip solution just holds up better.

Grip stick and goat palms do not mix well. Several of the Eagles and Missions I sold that had goat had problems with the palm coming off of the rest of the glove.
