Well,

everytime i see some Tuuk Custom+ holders on Prostock Skates i ask some questions myself. Maybe you guys can help me out.

First of all, im using Bauer 8090s with Lightspeed Holders and LS2 steel. So far, so good.

I really, really like the look of Custom+ on 8090. Its a beautiful match (in my view)! I could get a pair of black custom+ holders for free from a friend which would fit under my skates (In case you dont know how sweet the blacks look, check this http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k213/noh...5/8090tuuk3.jpg ). But now there are problems. As far as i know, there is some kind of pitch. The angle of knees while i skate or something - i dont know anything about that - would there be a huge difference between my normal LS holder and the Custom+ while skating? And i remember that the Custom+ and LS holders do not have the same "layout" of holes, so someone would have to drill into my skates, right?

So i dont know if i should venture this.

The pitch is different (I believe the Custom+ will put your more on your heels, but I'm not entirely sure). That can be fixed by getting a custom profile done to them to match the specs of LS2 steel. Another issue would be radius-Ã'm not sure if there is a difference in stock radius in the two holders, but this, too can be adjusted. Still, you could just skate on them 3 or 4 times to see if you can get used to them.

Perhaps you should pm the user who has that setup (it's in the show it off thread, if that's not where you got the pic from) and ask him how the transition went.

If you ask me, 8090's on black tuuks look wicked.

It was 43% burnt who posted the pic and I was the one that put the setup together. Coming from the LS to the Custom + is a bit of a change but as Optimus above said, it can be changed.

Ok, its getting serious.

I will/can get a pair of fitting Custom+ holders for free in the next couple of days, but i just cant decide if i should use them.

I know that i have to drill holes in the boot, but thats not that bad. I will give them to a equipment manager of a elite league team.

Does that mean, im more leaning backwards?! Im not familar with these radius, profile and what not things. I just put the skates on and skate. Thats due the missing knowledge about this stuff here in germany. When im in CAN or the US i will get my skates "updated" (profile wise) thats for sure ;)
