CCM oxy socks

Recommended Posts

I am using the Merrell version actually. I don't like the CCM one. The Merrell one I have has a tighter, non-ribbed foot.

Merrell makes shoes and boots. I got my pairs from a Merrell rep.

Nuggy - where did you find them?

I have 5 pairs of the CCM oxysock. 3 Pairs have ribs. Two pairs do not. The two smooth/non-ribbed pairs are also about 2" longer (calf-wise) not footlength wise (as they are all the same sock size)... I was wondering what the deal was because I purchased them all at the same time, and the product# from manufacturer was the same...

I also was told by a shop that CCM (Rbk --> adidias or whatever) was not going to continue selling them/marketing them for hockey...

is this true? anyone hear anything otherwise?

also Merrell - that's an outdoor brand? so i could get more oxysocks from some random outdoor store JR?

Which do you like better the ribbed or non-ribbed sock?

those are skating socks. if you go to the website youll see that the makeup of the sock is identical to the nhl crested ones.

Is there any Merrell oxy's that don't have the padded bottom? I have to order CCM's, but there is a Coast Mountain or some kind of outdoors place a block away. Going to go look there for some socks, and do some research . B)

whatever your shoe size in us shoes. OR whatever your 10 ccm skate translates into. i would assume you are somewher in the 8-11 range.

Well, I've just ordered some CCM OXYSOX in a size 10-12 and the salesman claims these are medium sized for a 8-10 shoe.

I.e.

Socks size:10-12

Fit shoe size: 8-10

I really don't get this, wouldn't a size 10-12 (CCM OXYSOX) be a large and fit a 10-12 shoe and a 8.5-10.5 CCM skate?

Remember these shoe sizes are US, to find the conversion for your sneaker size from the "UK or Sweeden to US" shoe sizes, Go by shoe size instead of skate size because the socks aren't ment for your skates, they're for your feet, A US shoe size of 8 up to size 10 requires a sock size of 10 up to size 12, thats what this sock size covers. If your sneakers are between a U.S. size 8 to a U.S. size 10 then you should be ok with this size sock 10-12

Hope this helps

What is the padding like? Is there a lot of it? I didn't notice this when I bought them and am starting to think i might not like these..

Any update on this?

I got them and the padding was fine, It was just thicker at the bottom(not like an actual pad).. However they were too small for me and I ended up getting regular ccm ones from the same guy.

Got my package of CCM Oxysox from that dude on eBay who sells them in bulk of 6 pairs for $25.

Rocked them tonight at pickup, and after a bit of adjustment (because they're way thinner than my normal athletic socks I always used), they felt great paired with my Superfeet.

You get a nice feel for the skate that a normal sock wouldn't give. I think the whole increased circulation is a load of bull, but for a thin skate sock, these are a pretty good investment.
