Pinkfloydspig 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 I have two Grip Bubbles that are 2003 models. Large sections of the shaft's grip has flaked or worn off, making the surface extremely slippery and hard to grip. Rather than candycaine taping it or buying spray on grip{both short term and temporary solutions},I'd like to remove the remaining grip and smooth it out.I'm trying to make them into regular Z-bubbles,cause they're pretty useless now as is.Anyone know what would be the best way to take off the remaining grip ? Should I sand it with an electric sander ? Or should I try putting some gasoline on a rag and rub it off ? Thanks in advance

slapper_snipper_73 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Prob go with a carpet knife and cut it off, make shure its sharp tho, and be careful, or just make a indent in the stick with a knife and peel it with your hands, really experiment and try to find out cuz there could be lots of ways
