new stick help

Recommended Posts

This is my first post so correct me if I do something wrong.

I have been using easton sticks since they came out with the synergy but I think it might be time to switch. I have been using Sl's but they break left and right. I am currently using my back up stick (ST) which is very durable and steardy but does not have the feel/pop I would like. I am looking for something durable with some feel to it, not necessarily extremely light. I hear the dolomite ops is good but please give me some suggestions

-thanks

Blade and shaft combo perhaps? That way you just change the blade for more pop!

If you must go the OPS route, Warrior is a good company (formerly Innovative), and I have loved my Bauer Vapor VI.

the Synergy II is supposedly just like an SL, easton claims it to be SL technology in a 2 piece. but when you break the blade you buy another for $55 instead of $170 for a whole new stick. this only works, however, if you don't kill shafts.

I have a dolomite and it's fantabulous. so far it's a tank. the blade has been stepped on at least 3 times and it's still as stiff as it was the day I bought it. (not quite as pretty anymore though).

And I have to pop in and say that the added bonus of 2 pc systems is the ability to experiment with curves.

I've thought about going the 2 piece route again but I like the true one piece sticks more (bauer xxx, mac daddy, stealth, etc) then fused sticks. The kick they have is great. Although I've never actually tried a synergy II.

If you have a local lhs that will let you demo sticks, I think that would be your best option. If not, ask a teammate or friend if you could borrow a stick and experiment with a few sticks and then make a choice. Just about every stick has people that love it and hate it it's all pp.
