mew1838 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2006 http://cgi.ebay.com/Watch-Free-Live-NHL-Ho...1QQcmdZViewItemThis auction is not mine and I do not have anything to do with it. I just want to know if anyone used this kind of stuff before as I really want to watch devils games badly :P
irbenaid 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2006 Mew,From what I'm reading on there this sounds an awful lot like the TVU player. I could be wrong. But, I just watched the Rangers/Sabres game last night with it. The thing is that it's FREE! Just go to Google or Yahoo and type in "TVU player" or go to www.download.com to get it. It takes a little while to download because their server is slow. But, I watched the game last night and it was actually pretty flawless. There are some of the other channels listed on that auction too. Again all for free.

The puck is pretty hard to see. If you need to see the puck then yeah you probably won't enjoy the experience as much.
mew1838 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2006 Well I can watch hockey without seeing the puck too but hey with the puck it looks much better(HD :P) its free anyway, can't complain
irbenaid 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2006 Mew, Cool! Glad I could help. For everyone else. The quality is good if you don't stretch the screen too much. Besides that.......it's free! I just found this the other night when I couldn't get the Yahoo feed of the Rangers game to play. Every so often my cable company blacks out Rangers games so I had to find a way to watch it. I'm not quite sure how it's determined which ones are blacked out. But, this one was. It's pretty good quality for free so I'm not going to complain.

I run Zone Alarm and it does not bother me once I allowed it.

irbenaid 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2006 is there any way to get this to work on a mac?I did a Yahoo search for you and found this quote......"MAC USERS You can supposedly run TVU on Virtual PC, but I haven't tried it."I don't know anything about Mac, but this might make sense to you. Hope that helps.
