rwshockey55 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 I have a fairly new pair of tour code 1's and tour code 2's. The first month i used them i had no problems, here lately though I have had really bad ankle bite. Has anyone else ran across this problem? I use to skate on mission he10000 and now wish I still had them. Has the new wicked series stopped ankle bit after broken in? Thanks
shute 4 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 when you say ankle bite do you mean the sides or "lace bite" as in the top?

rwshockey55 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 its on top of the ankle that is bothering me. im just wondering if it is because the boot is so low cut?
#96 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 I had this problem with the Code1s for at least the first few months I had them. Wasn't terrible, but I knew it was there. I wound up just moving the tongue over to the right side a bit and that helped a lot.
iceburg19 1 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 is it the top of the sides of your skate that digs in above your ankle?if it is,then what ive done in the past- is this,i take a heat gun and heat the sides of the skates at the top, when they get alittle mushy i bend the sides down, just mold the sides down alittle to where there not going to rub along your skin, dont go crazy just get that edge away from your skin.ya get what im saying?ive done this a couple of times and it worked out ok. Alias81 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 If your alternating between code 1 and code 2's your gonna double your break in time so I'd stick with one TBH.If you mean that you have lace bite then I'd get a bunga pad I know a couple of people that say good things about them:http://www.icesk8.com/access40.htm
CARLOTSKI 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 I had problems with lace bite with my Code One's. I usually skate about 4 times a week, and could not believe that the Code One's after almost a full year of skating on them gave me lace bite.I bought a lace bite cushion protector you can find these anywhere and after about 2 weeks of using it, it went away. It’s a pain the butt but time will help. Also, the Code One's axels are horrible. I have replaced about 4 of them already. I love the skates, but come to think about it, I should of not paid $400 for a skate that gives me this much grief.Hope this helps.
