Many uses of a broken hockey stick are obvious, as our countless tomato stakes can testify. In 50 Things to Make with a Broken Hockey Stick, I strive to realize the full potential of this composite of resin and wood. My list is not complete, as the broken hockey stick is an almost infinite resource. My wish is to display the potential in the seemingly mundane and show that you can make great stuff with them.

50 Things to Make with a Broken Hockey Stick is a truly original book. The author, Peter Manchester, has come up with some innovative, humorous and wacky ideas to use with broken hockey sticks. There is everything, from the practical, like a CD holder, to the funny, such as a pooper-scooper, to the bizarre, like the Marimba, a musical instrument.

I have to admit that I didn't know if Manchester's book was supposed to be just for laughs or serious ideas. An interesting book, but not a first purchase.
