nyrangers2184 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2006 i thought it would be medium cause the skate is a 9.5 but thanks for the clarification.
Patrick67 1 Report post Posted December 12, 2006 You could use both sizes, since it's 9.5, but L should be a better fit.
ATLstealth09 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 Patrick, I'm going to have to disagree. I believe the proper size for a 9.5 CCM skate is a Medium chassis. As I own a pair of 9.5 CCM Externo 60s, a Medium Red Star E-Frame fit, which is sized accordingly with Mission chassis. It also depends on the skate, though. However, I think the chassis sizing should be pretty versitile for a size 9.5 skate, as it is the borderline between sizes. If you want to be a bit quicker on your toes, go for the Medium, but if you want a little bit more leverage, go with the Large.
Patrick67 1 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 I wear 7D 10.0 CCM's (wore 7.5D Vector Pro's previously), and had the luxery of choosing between Red Star Alloys size M & L (4 & 5) together with the guy who mounted them. And I would still recommend size L, but as you also mention, he can't go wrong with either. ATLstealth09 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2006 Large on a pair of size 7's? I'm really questioning that. I don't think that would work out too well. But then again, the shape of the outsole controls a lot of how the skate is put together.
Patrick67 1 Report post Posted December 15, 2006 Here is a pick of 7.5D Rbk's with Red Star Alloys size L(5).
DangleSpud 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2006 Let me help Patrick out here. A size 5 redstar I believe is a medium in lebeda, mission... I had got a size 4 (small) and mounted it on a size 8 boot, which was kinda stretching it, but it fit comfy.
Patrick67 1 Report post Posted December 15, 2006 Hmm, so a size M Mission = Size 5 Red Star...He should use a M Mission chassis then, thanks for clarifying the sizeing issue.
