My uncle is the president of the hospital where this happened. Needless to say, he had quite the morning. He said it happened a couple hallways over and one floor underneath his office.

Probably to the nearest trauma center. Not all hospitals are equipped to handle major trauma.

PVMC isn't set up for gunshot wounds. Especially a 9mm to the chest. It's a real short helicopter ride from Brighton into downtown Denver and the good trauma centers.
