Wild Wild Fan 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2006 Could somebody please explain the difference to me between tapered shafts and standard shafts? I can't figure which one is a damaged one peice stick and which one is a normal shaft like the L2.

G60 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2006 you can tell if the blade end of the tapered shaft is smaller than the butt end. it's pretty noticeable if you have them side to side.
jjtt99 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2006 Tapered means the shaft gets more narrow toward the bottom. In view of this, the hosel of the blade that goes in the shaft ahs to be shorter and more narrow than a standard one. The advantage is the flex point is lower which puts a little more pop on your shot.I stick with a standard shaft and wood blade combo as I find it gives me a better feel for the puck. It's all personal preference.
