With all of the mergers in sports equipment companies, what will be the overall affect to the industry? I just saw that Adidas has completed its buyout of Reebok. I have noticed that Reebok is making the name brand of Jofa on its pads very small. Eventually, they will just phase it out completely and Reebok witll be the only name. Nike is doing similar things at Bauer and it is now NikeBauer. It just seems there are fewer and fewer independent brand names that make complete equipment lines. I wonder when Adidas will start pushing their name into the Reebok line.
