Graf skate question

What exactly is the new Texalite outsole that is on the new 705 and 735 skate? When and why did they change to this?

do you mean the black carbon weave with clear plastic overlay? My friend recently got a pair of 703's with this type of outsole on them (retail, not custom). Seems to be stiffer than the regular white outsole, similar to other company's composite outsoles, but a bit thicker than most.

Does it make that big of a diff.in performance? I will admit it does look better though.

I don't know about how big of a difference in perforance it makes, especially since they're not mine. They're also his first pair o Grafs, so he wouldn't be able to tell you either.

In other words, what follows is all conjecture and subject to my general disclaimer of I know nothing, I just THINK I know everything:

The outsole seems stiffer than the white plastic outsoles, which should offer a more responsive skate that transfers energy to the ice more efficiently.

I'm told they corrected the problems of the outsole separating from the boot with this new one, as well.

its going to be slightly stiffer so it will allow for similar responsivenes like a composite one but stronger
