Itech HS22 Mirrored

Recommended Posts

i either use my jofa cage or the cheap itech RBE1. i would like to get a newer, better shield like the standerd itech pro wave, but don't have money right now. i was definantly considering getting one of the mirrored ones a couple years back, but i have realized that the message you send out accidentily can piss off some guys. yeah, having opponents not be able to see your eyes would be great, but i don't know if it's worth it if i'm gonna look like a douche...

Played some pickup with the locals wearing the mirrored visor...and boy I got some comments fromthe peanut gallery...but of course everyone wanted to try on my NBH 8500 helmet with the HS22. Under the bright lights, it seems darker than the old Itech tinted full visor I used to wear. There is a lot less glare.

I am thinking about trying the Oakley avitor blue tint to see which one I like better.

My current league team is the NYI Third Jersey, and Last time I was in Perani's, I noticed they had a pair of Eagle's in Navy Orange and White, so Carolyn hooked me up with them, and I've gotten more slack for having Matching Gloves than with the visor. I know it is a bit excessive to buy matching gear just for a Beer League, but I needed new gloves anyway, so I figured why not?

Let the Comments Begin :P

I always caught flak for matching my gloves and pants to my outdoor roller hockey team (thrashers colors, and name too) I got teased the most for the yellow helmet though.

Way I saw it, you look good, you feel good, you play good.

I agree 100%.

It's funny how other people give you crap for matching equipment, but I mean you get the equipment that feels the best (and when your old stuff gets is just too worn out) and when you get the choice of color then why not match em up? I'd rather match everything up than look like I play for a hippie team with a Tie-Dye attire.

Ditto....

Why wold I want to look like Punky Brewster when I can make sure my equipment matches the colors of the team I play for....people who have issues with that are most likely upset that they do not have the funds to do the same...I catch slack...but usually the guys that break balls are the first to ask to try it out for a shift....funny how that happens.
