Measuring steel?

I broke my steel and had a 272mm sent to me from hockeygiant, only prob is, its over 1" too long. When I contacted them, they told me to measure the one I recieved, when I measure it, it is 322mm actual length. The ones that broke are 298mm actual blade length. I dont understand the correct way to measure the runner. I couldnt find much with search, thanks.

There has to be something wrong with the way you are measuring it.

Why not just go by what is on the holder?

I did when I ordered, wish they would just send me the correct blade.
