Mission L-2

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I bought a Mission M-1 tapered shaft from a LHS and I was curious if it is the same as an L-2? The owner of the shop told me that the M-1 shafts were simply unfused OPS, so my question is: if I buy an L-2 replacement blade will it match perfectly with the M-1 shaft? Anyone know?

All tapered blades all fit the same (they all are meant to fit .520 tapered shafts), so for a mission tapered shaft a mssion tapered blade will definatley work. You could put an easton blade or any other manufactuer's tapered blade into the shaft if you like their particular curve.

In theory, you're right, but I've heard stories of some blades (Warrior I think) blowing out shafts (Easton). I'd like to avoid that.

I thought the L-2 shaft and blade were a "low kickpoint" shaft and blade and the M-1 had a normal length hossle? An L-2 blade might not fit an M-1 shaft.

I think you're referring to the M-2 (two) shafts, and yes they are standard shfts. But my M-1 is definately tapered. Its not a cut M-1, its an M-1 OPS that never had a blade fused on.

Seen a lot of M-1 shafts (tapered and non) from pro stock. If it's tapered, it's basically a blue L-2.

Thanks. Mods may lock for future generations.
