vector 4.0 roller conversion

Recommended Posts

i was just thinking about taking my ccm vector 4.0 ice skates and cutting and sanding the chassis off them to put on my tuuk roller chassis from my bauer supreme 1000 skates. i like the feel of the vector boot alot more than the supremes, they kinda irritate my feet. but doing this would mean buying another pair of ice skates, maybe another pair of 4.0s. i know cash wise this might be stupid but like i said i like the vector boots. what do you guys think? is it worth it? any other suggestions?

i like the ccm cowlings better as well but thats not a bad idea. although i'm not so sure if the ccm boot will fit in the bauer cowling. if it did then i could just swap them out and use the bauers for ice. i play more roller so that would prob work out good. but does anyone know how bauer and ccm sizings compare? anyone know if they can be interchanged?

ok so i talked to my friend that works at the local play it again sports and he said that he doesn't think you can switch the boots from the cowling and that i'd just have to cut the blades off the vectors and buy new ice skates.

Ya you can switch the boot to the inline cowling if the size is right, I just had no idea what you were saying on the phone haha

ya there amazing my manager cut off the chassis and sanded it, then he put his old bauer chassis on it. They were amazingly light and just plain sweet. Just sucks for him he broke his ankle first game of the season

It is simply a matter of whether or not the boot is correctly sized for your bauer cowling as you can easily swap them. Just a matter of pulling the current rivets and putting new in. Now, if the rivet holes don't line up you might have to mod for that but that is simple.
