Holders sizing for a switch?

Recommended Posts

This is not always the case, I had Pro Tacks with size 280 E-Pros, went to have tuuk lightspeeds in size 280 put on and they were way too small, had to go up to 288's to get the same size fit ont he skate as the 280- Epros

The holders on the E-Pros says 280.

LOL that makes ME right...

Regardless, the mm doesn't lie. You must put on what you took off. Sorry, Chilaxin, you are mistaken. While skate size is not standardized, mm is.

Speaking of holders does anyone know if a tuuk custom + will fit a 9k?

Yes

JR, I had my skates done by someone who has done work for AHL teams before, I had 280 E-Pros on my pro tacks, when we pulled them off and went to put on the 280 Light Speeds they were too small, they took up less length on the boot and in order to get a blade that took up similar length on the boot we had to use 288, I get what your saying about mm being a standardized unit of measure as where skate size is not, however where the points are measured depends on the size, if it is measured from the top of the holder it will be a longer mm then if it is measured from a lower point on the skate. I'm not saying your wrong i'm just saying in my case inorder to achieve the same space on the bottom of the boot being used for the holder I had to use a 288.
