HockeyIsLife 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2007 How do you know if your hockey stride is correct. I feel like i am getting an ankle kick but when I bring it in it feels like i am doing a little bit of a circle. Is this how it's suppose to feel? And is there anything you can do off-ice to help with your stride.
gee2626 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2007 I've noticed I have had the same issue with my stride. A correct stride would have the thrusting leg fully extended, and return in a straight line (with skate approx 1-2 inches off the ground). For drills, I have been working on my knee bend, and focusing on making sure I fully extend my thrusting leg.
