I think having the game on Wednesday definitely caused a drop in viewership. I knew the All Star game was coming up and assumed it was on the weekend, then saw the headline Thursday morning and thought, "What??!!"

As you can see I rarely post but the NHL is in trouble. I can hardly stand to watch a game anymore. It`s like watching a girls badmitten game. Gary is a joke and is bringing down viewership.

I don't know about that. The Ducks-Preds game the other night had a lot of good stuff in it even though it ended up 3-0. There were fights, lots of drama and it was in Hi Def to boot on the HDNET channel. I'll watch any game on hi def. That might be their way to increased viewership - Hi Def makes hockey games pop like mad so start doing more hi def games and get Center Ice to broadcast more games in Hi Def.

While I would love more center ice games in HD, only fans are going to spring for the $150 to get center ice in the first place.

VS game production is better than ESPNs was in many cases. I still think the intermissions are lacking, mostly due to the cast.

I also think Verses cares more in terms of having advertising during the game and during other hours as well. I am with you in that I don't think they are doing a bad job at all, but I find it too bad that in many areas you have to pay to get the service

I don't like the way Comcast has tried to bully other cable carriers into making the channel available for free while refusing to drop the cost to the carriers.
