killthepoodle 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2007 On my old 703's, 8090's, and potentially my new skates (probably 10.0's) I haven't liked lacing them up all the way.Should I be looking for a lower cut boot? What are some of the lower cut boots out there to look at?I really like the way the 10.0's feel on my feet....heel is nice and locked and the forefoot feels great, but again, I feel like I need to leave the top eyelet undone to get forward the way I like to......... Jake 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2007 You might want to look for a more flexible ankle area.. Like the 707s or Mission S500s.
Ryan DYHA 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2007 Al;so, you probably just have strong ankles and are used to the feel of little ankle supporrt. I am like this a swella and on my XXX skates I barely tie the top eyelets. As far as looking for lower cut boots, I wouldnt sacrifice boot fit just to get lower ankle support. philatangy 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2007 Tons of players do this, I don't think new skates are necessary unless they are uncomfortable when wearing skates like this. No matter which skates I have, I always leave at least one (sometimes more) eyelet unlaced.
killthepoodle 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 I need new skates anyway.........I think RDV might still have some s500's floating around....but their customer service blows goats. Just Hockey says march or april on the 120 ag's......
Patrick67 1 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 I have the 10.0's and go one eyelet down, if they fit your feet, stick with em.
