CCM Edge 4.5?

Hey gang, I tried searching for these skates on here to see if there was a review with no luck...

I hadn't seen them mentioned but I am still kinda new here. Anyway, is this a good deal considering they are called top of the line model and retailed for $360?

I don't recall them ever selling for $350. A buddy of mine had some about 8 years ago and he couldn't wait to get rid of them.

I agree with Chadd. Pass on it. The Edge series is from 1997 and was CCM's poor attempt to combat Mission's entry into ice hockey. IMO, this series marked the start of CCM's downward spiral, followed by Externo, then Vector, etc.

Believe me, those edge skates were trash. If you want a good pair of ccm skates form that era, unless it is the 752cf, the 652 supertack or the pump tacks forget it. It wasn't so much a downward spiral with ccm as much as they triey tried something new (those 952 dst tacks that weighed a ton) and sorta failed. The 1052 lites that came after were great skates aside from delamination issues.
