hurricaneoasis 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 I just found an old nike Lemieux blade at my house, and I like the curve on it a lot, does anyone have a clue what curve it may be like? It looks sort of like the Nike/Bauer Naslund p92 or the Easton Sakic to me

mack 44 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 The latest Lemieux was the Drury clone, but it sounds like this was from the Quest line. If so, that was a wedge-y Sakic.
srv2miker 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 I think it was a 6 lie as well.

I really like the look of it, so I'd like to know for sure what is similar... either in NB or Easton
mack 44 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 Yeah, with the funky wrap on it that goes to the toe? I'm not sure if there's an exact duplicate of that pattern as it was different than the P92.
hurricaneoasis 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 the specs on the Lemieux according to Hockeygiant match up perfectly with the P91 Kovalchuk pattern, so maybe it is a Drury clone? I'd really like to find something like this...
mack 44 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 The Lemiuex currently available is a Drury clone, but the one you have was another pattern on its own. Didn't it also have a square toe? I'm thinking P92 is as close as it gets.
hurricaneoasis 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 this has a rounded blade. it's the same one that's on hockey giant, the Nike Quest 2...
marc_9 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2007 my friend has a nike quest 3? he uses for street hockey and it is between a drury and a sakic.... ill try and get a pic of the curve.
SickLife 2 Report post Posted February 6, 2007 i've seen lemuix blade's that look like a modo/foresberg. these were the quest 1's.
hurricaneoasis 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2007 According to what I could find it matches up pretty much perfectly with the P91 Kovalchuk pattern in NikeBauer, which is supposed to more or less be a Drury clone, but with a 6 lie...That's just based off the Nike Quest two blade that's on hockeygiant.com now... it says:Mid-Heel Slight Open 6 Round Mediumwhich is EXACTLY the specs that are found in the Pattern DB on this page.I was ordering a stick yesterday and I got the Warrior Dolomite with a Draper pattern, and just looking at pics of that (which is a Sakic clone...) it matches up nearly perfectly.I guess I'll just have to post pics of that Lemieux blade on here to see for certain. I'll do that later today.I will say I think it's a pretty old blade, at least 5 years I'd guess.
DamnLocust 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 Giant's stats are for the "newest" nike lemieux (probably the apollos, which are about 2 years old at this point), which was a drury clone. your lemieux (and the quests 2s that they're selling) are the older lemieux pattern that is closer to the sakic/naslund/draper curve. Giant's DB is not based on what they're selling, it's the latest information given to them from the manufacturer. The DB here is based on personal experience of members, and that is why the DB here doesn't always match up to manufacturers' stats or those on other sites. I know it has a 5 lie b/c the lie is identical to my NB P106 which is a 5... the curve isn't all THAT much off of that one actually, it's more of a mid heel though, or mid... it's a really cool curve, I've never seen it anywhere else, though from what I've seen the Draper is close, I guess I'll know in a few days when I get mine.Is the Draper a 100% Sakic clone?
