FatAndSlow 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2007 Recently got the Sean Skinner Stickhandling Beyond Belief videos. On the first disc he talks about Shuffle Stride or scooting (skating on your heals making small C-cuts). For anyone who knows what I'm talking about, do you actually use this skating technique at all when you are playing? Also, does this skating technique apply to inline hockey? Thanks in advance... kin1013 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2007 yes.. I have the disc.. actually I haven't try using that stride, but we can ask one of his student and instructor and see if he really uses it!!
biff44 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2007 Yeah, Dmen patrolling the blue line do. Also, when 1 on 1, you skate backwards that way instead of using a crossover. That way you do not get beat going the wrong way for 2 steps.

gman 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2007 You can use this stride inline skating. It works great. I actually like the DVD series. There alot of drills there to work on coordination and balance. There are a bunch of trick shots there as well. But then it is called "stick handling beyond belief". I haven't found any good "wrist/snap/slap shooting beyond belief" DVD's yet...
