Shuffle Stride or Scooting

Recommended Posts

Recently got the Sean Skinner Stickhandling Beyond Belief videos. On the first disc he talks about Shuffle Stride or scooting (skating on your heals making small C-cuts). For anyone who knows what I'm talking about, do you actually use this skating technique at all when you are playing? Also, does this skating technique apply to inline hockey? Thanks in advance...

Yeah, Dmen patrolling the blue line do. Also, when 1 on 1, you skate backwards that way instead of using a crossover. That way you do not get beat going the wrong way for 2 steps.

In my view, its not worth it, but thats just me.

Its actually just trickshooting and stuff, get the Laura Tralala DVD or the Robby Glantz one.

You can use this stride inline skating. It works great. I actually like the DVD series. There alot of drills there to work on coordination and balance. There are a bunch of trick shots there as well. But then it is called "stick handling beyond belief". I haven't found any good "wrist/snap/slap shooting beyond belief" DVD's yet...
