Vapor XX vs. XXX-lite OPS

Recommended Posts

I've looked through the reviews of both sticks, but its hard to get a good judgement of this, are both sticks really the same thing? And if there is a difference, please tell (not worried about weight difference though). Oh and can you pull the blade of the vapor XX OPS like you can with the warriors?

The Vapor XX stick is the same as the Inno 1100 which is the same as the Warrior Dolomite. Those sticks are essentially a two piece stick fused together to look like a one piece. That being said, ive seen plenty of Warriors and a couple XX wheres the fuse point has loosened and you cant easily heat up the shaft and extract the blade.

The XXX lite OPS is a true one piece stick. There is essentially no fuse point, but if you were to pull off a few layers of the graphite you could see where the blade and shaft blend together. This stick however cant be disassembled like the other two mentioned above.

The newer XXs are NOT made by innovative/warrior. The original ones were. This said, I don't know how the new ones compare to the original all black ones.

The two sticks are different in terms of feel, blade construction, balance, shaft shape, and more. I suggest you go into a LHS and check them out before making a decision. Then buy it from that store.

you mean the ones they don't make for retail anymore and are nigh impossible to find in any decent flex or curve?

you also didn't do much to answer his question.

the original xx wasnt a 1100, i used both when they came out, imo if you can find xx's that are made in canada or mexico snatch them up, they are a great stick, good feel. also yes i pulled a blade out of one of my xx's and i never had any issues with the blade chipping for ice hockey

the original vapor xx holds up better i would say bucause i have had 4 vapor xxx lite that have all broken in less than two months butt he vapor 20 lacks in the feel of the puck. Go with the vapor xxx lite if u have money to buy more

I have about 8 Bauer xx Stick Um's (black and yellow) left at my shop. When you look and compare them to the Warrior its the same exact stick. I dont know when they exactly stopped using the Inno 1100 but i know this model is the same. As far as the new custom color xx's you can order im not really sure about those because ive never carried them. So to answer his question again ill rephrase it, No the xx and xxx lite are not the same stick. The xx is a two piece fused stick and the xxx lite is a true one piece essentially. Both have a totally different feel and construction.

My buddy broke the shaft on his XX and wanted to try to reuse the blade. I have heated it to the point where smoke was pouring out of it, and it still won't budge.

The blade from my XN10 was much easier to remove.
