EPIC Drive Strap

I was looking at the epic pads and was reading about the drive strap thing..

Does anyone have these pads? What do they think of the drive strap - does it actually do anything?

I had those straps but i took them off because i wasnt really sure how to put them on or what they did

i dont have it but what it is suppose to do is not let yyour leg over rotate when going down into butterfly, from what i have heard, a lot of people didnt use it because it did the oppostie of what they are suppose ot do and didnt let your leg rotate enough. How you put them on is probably on the vaughn web site but i know that you have to untie your skate and then lace it up to attach it to the skate, then while strapping on your pad, connect with the leather strap on the pad

Thats what I have heard. Its supposed to reduce the lag time between the motion of your leg, and the motion of the pad. This is probably why you dont see them in the pros or semi pros. I think the older style and older goalies may be the few who benefit from this. Anyone that wears their pads loose to stay at a 90 degree angle to the ice probably wont find that stap helpful. This would have been great back in the mid 90s. Less so now. Good idea though
