Question about Jock Strap

I cannot get my socks to stay velcrowed to the jock strap. My socks come down below the top of my shinguards. I have tried tape but that doesn't hold it. This sounds like a dumb question, but is there something obvious that I am missing?? Thanks in advance.

you probably have junior socks and you're a senior... because the socks seem like they're WAY too short

my socks don't stay put with the velcro; my solution is tape or shin straps.

you could go with an old school hockey garter.
